Tamas Jakkel (Hungary)

I am a breeder of English cocker spaniels and all sizes of Smooth Dachshunds. I’ve bred and has been shown over 150 FCI International Champions, a couple of dozens of World winners in several breeds.
After becoming a judge in 1985 I started to get around the World and I had been in most of its countries , where dogshows being held in all Continents including the most prestigious Shows under the aegis of FCI, The UK Kennel Club, AKC, ANKC and CKC.
I am an FCI all-rounder since 2001. entitled to judge all the Groups and BIS within AKC and The Kennel Club in the UK as well.
I had been the BIS judge of the FCI European Show in 2008 and the World Show in 2013., and have been judged BIS in over 60 countries.

I am the President of the Hungarian Kennel Club’s Judges’ Board since 2001.
After serving the FCI European Section as a Board member, later on its Vice President for many years and the FCI Judges’ Commission as its Vice President for 4 years I resigned from these positions after being elected as a member of the FCI General Committee in 2009.
In the General Committee I am the responsible Board member for both the FCI Judges and Show Commissions.

After I had been the host of the judges at the World Show 2013 in Budapest I am very much looking forward to judge some of my favourite breeds and to enjoy the famous hospitality of the ENCI and the Organizing Committee of the FCI World Dogshow in Milano, where I won 3 World Winner titles at the World Show in 2000. with my 2 English cockers and a Dachshund and we won the Group with our Standard Smooth Dachshund ( co-owned by the late János Márczé).
